Styles in iMindMap 5.2

July 14th, 2011

After the release of the 5.1 update last month, we got stuck in to Styles. iMindMap 5 has a range of different Styles, available under the Design tab on Windows and on the main toolbar on Mac, allowing you to change the look of your maps with a single click.

With the release of 5.2, you can now customise these Styles and create your own. This is a feature that has been mentioned frequently on the Feedback Forum, so we know you’ll be anxious to get your hands on it!

iMindMap users now have yet another way to flex their creative muscles. You can create custom Styles, setting the colour scheme, graphics, font and layout.  Then whenever you’re working on a map, click on one of your unique Styles and the map will instantly adopt the look that you created. You can ensure your maps look just the way you want them to, time and time again.  It’s easy!

We think this new feature is going to save you, and us, a lot of time!  Better looking maps, faster – for any type of audience.

One sneaky Style feature that you may miss – once you have created your perfect Style you may wish to set this as your default Style so that every new map you create adopts this custom Style. Don’t fear, all you have to do is right mouse click on the Style icon box you wish to use and select Set As Default. It’s as easy as that!
