“Your brain is like a sleeping giant.” – Tony Buzan

Tony Buzan

Our mission is simple: To awaken the genius within

Through over 40 years of research into the workings of the brain, Tony Buzan is dedicating his life to developing and refining techniques to help individuals think better and more creatively, and reach their full mental potential. He and the ThinkBuzan network of supporters, partners and trainers have awakened the brains of millions worldwide.

  • Tony Buzan is a person who has dedicated his life for a cause. A cause that benefits the human race, and makes their lives a lot easier.

Our goal: Unlimited creativity

In the late 1960s, frustrated with traditional note taking techniques, Tony developed his studies of brain function into the Mind Mapping technique. This adaptable tool is useful for just about anything: planning, organizing, creating, presenting, problem solving, communicating and much more.

Our ambition is to share our knowledge of mental literacy techniques that combine visual and spatial aspects with keywords to enable the brain to be most efficient, giving new clarity and greater control of thinking processes, and therefore much better mastery of one’s life.

  • Tony Buzan deserves a medal for coming up with the sanity-saving concept of Mind Maps, which make difficult mental tasks possible, even pleasurable.

Our goal: Subtle technology for enhanced thinking

Our CEO, Chris Griffiths, has spent 20 years combining modern brain based learning theories with technology to enhance human thinking.

Effective thinking is about freedom, portability, visual variety, colour, and association. At ThinkBuzan, we strive to create software that doesn’t allow the technology to get in the way of the process.

Technology can limit your ability to think with clarity and objectivity since it often leads users into selective and analytical thinking. Everything we do and every feature we develop in our iMindMap software has to be done with the objective of stimulating, not restricting, the brain.

Our goal: To spread the word, globally

Our goal is to disseminate Tony’s techniques and ideas worldwide. Our network of trainers spread the word, improve human performance and teach creative skills.

On average, Tony visits over 20 countries each year, delivering accredited training courses, consulting with businesses and government bodies and lecturing at primary and secondary schools, universities and colleges. Our network of trainers support the same aim globally.

Tony has worked with governments around the world on educational and creative issues, including the governing bodies of Australia, Bahrain, China, UK, Jamaica, Malaysia, Mexico, Singapore and South Africa.

Our goal: Mental literacy for all

In addition to corporate work across the globe, we also devote time to charity and unpaid work. Every step of the way, the core message is the same: Everyone has talents. Everyone simply needs to find the right mental literacy tools to unlock their potential.

In 2008, Tony and ThinkBuzan CEO, Chris Griffiths, donated their time to the 4th annual Petra Nobel conference in Jordan, where the 250 delegates, including 30 Nobel Prize winners, worked towards a global partnership for peace and prosperity.

Tony developed the Brain Trust Charity to ‘maximise the ability of each and every individual to unlock and deploy the vast capacity of his or her Brain’. The Brain Trust has also worked intensively in deprived inner-city schools to raise the level of mental literacy.

Tony’s Brain Trust Charity helps under-privileged children build on their mental literacy and disadvantaged schools to access resources they could not otherwise reach.

Here as part of the ‘Build on Books appeal’ Tony donated over 3000 of his books to children in Sierra Leone.

  • I want to express my gratitude for ThinkBuzan’s generous support of LINGOs. These are very challenging times for our members – funds have been sharply reduced because people don’t donate in bad economic times, and some entire learning departments have been eliminated. iMindMap has been a great support. Thanks for all of your efforts.

  • The support we have received from ThinkBuzan has been of enormous benefit to our work at St. Jude India Childcare Centres. Everyone at the charity is now using iMindMap…

  • It is rare that you come across an individual who can make a profound difference to the way you live your life. It is rarer still that you meet an individual who can make a profound difference to the way millions of people live their lives. Tony Buzan is such a man.
